Tribune Media Services and uclick to Create All New Online, Download and Mobile Editions of Popular Jumble® Word Games

Chicago, IL and Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) July 15, 2007 -- Tribune Media Services (TMS) and uclick have partnered to launch a new series of online and mobile games based on the long-running Jumble® word puzzle. Slated for release beginning in August, this updated and expanded line will be available on game aggregation sites, newspaper Web sites, mobile services and in the fall a new Jumble.com destination site.

The new Jumble games offer enhanced features and innovative game play for Jumble enthusiasts, a fan base that includes more than half of all newspaper readers or approximately 15 percent of the U.S. population. The initial launch will feature updated versions of the classic Daily Jumble and Jumble for Kids games along with a series of Flash-based Jumble-hybrid games like Jumble Mah-Jong, Double Jumble, Jumble Crossword and Jumble Solitaire.

"Jumble is one the best-known and most popular word game brands in America," said Stephen Tippie, TMS vice president of marketing and licensing. "Generations of Americans have started their mornings or enlivened their commutes with the print Jumble puzzle. This partnership with uclick will add to current Jumble players' options with online and mobile versions, introduce a new fan base to the puzzles and make Jumble.com a leading destination for fun and challenging wordplay."

The game play in Jumble is simple: unscramble a list of words, and use the circled letters to unscramble the bonus solution. The interactive versions feature a built-in timer, game hints and a full array of play options. The combination of interactive and mobile "classic" Jumble games combined with the new hybrid games will continue to appeal to people of all ages while keeping the Jumble brand contemporary and fresh.

Taking the game to the next level, TMS and uclick also plan to release a mobile application featuring the Daily Jumble as well as other Jumble games in fall 2007.

"We know the value of Jumble and are excited to bring these new games to online and mobile users worldwide," said Chris Pizey, President and CEO of uclick. "Jumble fans, as well as the casual game audience, will love this updated Daily Jumble and the other Jumble games that we plan to launch throughout the year."
